(June 17, 2025) – Spike Chunsoft Inc. is releasing Kaname Date's Dreamy Drama Theater, a weekly series of five short anime episodes featuring chibi versions of characters from its upcoming detective adventure/puzzle game, No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES. In each episode, the characters find themselves in unusual situations while trying to introduce some of the game's features.
No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES launches on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™, and Steam® on July 25, 2025.
Each episode of this five-part series will be released every Tuesday, starting today through July 15, 2025. The first episode, titled “Quiz Show,” premieres today.

Episode 1: Quiz Show
Our protagonist, Kaname Date, takes on the role of a quiz show host, posing questions to four contestants, each of whom responds with bizarre answers...
Episode 2: Cooking Class
Premieres: June 24 at 10:00 am PDT
Internet idol Iris and her fan, Ota Matsushita, take on a cooking challenge. Ota, who runs a restaurant, acts as the instructor, but things take a turn when Iris starts adding some unusual ingredients.
Episode 3: 24 Hour Policing
Premieres: July 1 at 10:00 am PDT
Police officer Date wants to kick down the door of Ota's restaurant. He threatens Ota and demands that he open the door. The confrontation heats up.
Episode 4: Driving School
Premieres: July 8 at 10:00 am PDT
Iris begins her driving training in Date's car, but Date soon finds himself caught up in a dangerous situation. Will they make it back safely?
Episode 5: Another World
Premieres: July 15 at 10:00 am PDT
Ota has somehow been reincarnated in another world. He rushes to rescue Iris, who is trapped in a device with a familiar design, but...!
About No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES
The critically acclaimed detective adventure series AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES has garnered praise from fans worldwide. A new entry in the series is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and Steam. The player takes on the role of Kaname Date, the protagonist, and once again teams up with the AI-Ball, Aiba, to tackle a mysterious case and rescue Iris, an internet idol who has been forced to take part in a dangerous escape game. No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES introduces a new gameplay element: "Escape". As with previous games, in "Investigation", players will examine crime scenes and listen to testimonies. In "Somnium", players enter the dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses. In the new "Escape" sections, players will solve puzzles to break out of locked rooms. By moving between these three sections, players can obtain the necessary clues to solve the case.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version features reduced loading times, improved graphics, and support for mouse control.
