Nobunaga no Shinobi TV Anime's Additional Cast, October 4 Premiere Revealed

This year's 18th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine is revealing additional cast and the October 4 premiere for the television anime of Naoki Shigeno's Nobunaga no Shinobi four-panel manga on Friday. The additional cast includes:
- Yūji Ueda as Saitō Tatsuoki
- Daisuke Hirakawa as Takanaka Hanbē
- Shūta Morishima as Maeda Toshiie, Gyūichi Ōta
- Naoko Matsui as Matsu
- Tōru Ohkawa as Shibata Katsuie
- Tomokazu Seki as Mori Yoshinari, Imagawa Yoshimoto
- Fukushi Ochiai as Imagawa Ujizane
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 9:55 p.m., and will also begin airing on TV Aichi on October 8 at 3:20 a.m.
The previously revealed cast includes:
- Inori Minase as Chidori
- Wataru Hatano as Oda Nobunaga
- Kappei Yamaguchi as Hideyoshi
- Ayumu Murase as Sukezō
- Chiaki Takahashi as Kichō
- Suzuko Mimori as Oichi
- Rie Kugimiya as Nene
The anime's "Episode 0" screened at the AnimeJapan 2016 event in March and then streamed online in April.
Akitarō Daichi (Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san, Kamisama Kiss) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, and Junko Yamanaka (Detective Conan, Kamisama Kiss, ReLIFE) is designing the characters for animation.
The gag manga centers on a young female ninja named Chidori, whose dream is to help the Warring States-era warlord Oda Nobunaga to achieve his goals. Shigeno launched the manga in Young Animal in 2008, and Hakusensha published the manga's ninth compiled volume in July 2015, with the tenth volume slated for September 29. Hakusensha published the second volume of Shigeno's Nobunaga no Shinobi - Owari no Tōitsu-ki (Nobunaga's Shinobi - Chronicle of Owari's Unification) manga on February 29.
