Saiyuki Reload Blast Anime Listed With 12 Episodes

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki Reload Blast manga is listing the anime will have four Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes. Each volume will feature three episodes from the series, for a total of 12 episodes. The first editions of all volumes will include a bonus drama CD.
The series will premiere on July 5 on AT-X at 10:30 p.m., and will then air on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS11. The anime will also stream online in Japan, but the show's official site hasn't yet revealed the streaming platforms.
The anime will be the first Saiyuki anime that Pierrot will not be animating. Platinum Vision (Servamp) is animating the project. Hideaki Nakano is directing the anime, with Kenji Konuta (Library War, Ace of Diamond, Blood Lad) supervising the scripts. Both have worked together in the same positions on the Aoharu x Machinegun and Servamp anime. Youko Satou (Dog & Scissors) is handling the character designs. GRANRODEO is performing the opening theme song "move on! Ibara Michi" (move on! Thorny Road), and Luck Life is performing the ending theme song "Refrain."
