Escaflowne Movie Announcements

Anime Expo will be hosting the U.S. premiere of Escaflowne: A girl in Gaea sometime between June 30 - July 3. The story reunites the original creative team from the television series. The movie is a completely original stand-alone feature with music by Yoko Kanno, character designs by Nobuteru Yuuki, and mechanical designs by Kimitoshi Yamane. Anime Expo has it in 35mm, courtesy of Bandai Entertainment. Also, revealed at Sakura Con, Jerry Chu announced that the movie will also be shown at Otakon 2000 this August.
Anime Next is reporting that Sunrise has announced the seiyuu voice cast for it's upcoming Escaflowne theatrical feature. Returning characters from the animated series with feature the same voice actors as the ones used in the animated series with one exception.
