30-Second Michiko to Hatchin Trailer Posted Online

The official Japanese website for the Michiko to Hatchin buddy action anime series has posted a 30-second trailer. The title's Michiko is a free-willed "sexy diva" who destroys a supposedly inescapable prison fortress, while Hatchin is a girl fleeing her strict foster parents. The two join forces on an improbable escape to freedom. First-time main director Sayo Yamamoto (storyboarder and episode director on Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, Eureka Seven) is overseeing Manglobe studio (Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy). Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo director Shinichiro Watanabe is producing the music. The anime is planned for broadcast in Japan this year.
