Handsome personifications of Tokyo stations featured at Comiket next week

The e-animedia.net website of Gakken's Animedia magazine has begun streaming a 104-second promotional video for a Miracle Train "introduction anime DVD." The Miracle Train project anthropomorphizes several heavily travelled train stations in Tokyo into young handsome male characters. The Miracle Train booth at Tokyo's Comic Market (Comiket) 76 convention will exclusively distribute the DVD the next week. While the promotional video has a soundtrack, the characters' voices have been not been added yet. The five station-inspired main characters are, in order of appearance, the proud leader Zero Tōkyō (Hiroyuki Yoshino), the girl-wooing Shintarō Shinjuku (Ryotaro Okiayu), the ramen-loving otaku Riku Nakano (Hiroshi Kamiya), the charming yet acerbic Takuto Kichijōji (Miyu Irino), and the gentle yet risk-taking Lune Tachikawa (Kouki Miyata).

The separate Miracle Train - Ōedo-sen e Yōkoso (Miracle Train: Welcome to Ōedo Line) anime series will premiere on Japanese television in October. This television series will feature a different cast of characters inspired by the Ōedo subway line — specifically, Fumi Roppongi, Rintarō Shinjuku, Izayoi Tsukishima, Iku Shiodome, Saki Tochō, and Itsumi Ryōgoku.
