Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection is the latest film in the Space Battleship Yamato science-fiction anime franchise. The last film was released in 1983. The new film is set in 2220, 17 years after Final Yamato. Earth is threatened by a 320,000-kilometer-wide black hole and 300 million people set to travel for Amaaru, 27,000 light years away. However, when the transport fleet is attacked the new Yamato battleship leads the retalliation. Susumu Kodai, the hero of the first series, is now 38 years old and a space captain. He has a daughter named Miyuki and married to Yuki (the heroine of the first series).
Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror is about Haruka, a single daughter living with an emotional distant father. Her only connection to her deceased mother is a hand mirror, but Haruka loses her mirror. When she goes to a local shrine to pray for the return of her mother's mirror she encounters a small magical creature that takes her to the land of forgotten items.
