Seiji Mizushima, BONES' Un-Go TV Ad Streamed

Ryo Katsuji, Aki Toyosaki star in mystery anime from Fullmetal Alchemist staff

The official website for Seiji Mizushima and Bones' upcoming anime Un-Go began streaming a 30-second commercial on Thursday. Mizushima and Bones previously worked together on the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime series.

In the story of Un-Go, Shinjūrō Yūki (Ryo Katsuji) and Inga (Aki Toyosaki) work together to solve mysteries in a near future timeline. The story is based on the works of Ango Sakaguchi (Aoi Bungaku Series' "In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom"), a post-World War II Japanese novel and essayist. Shō Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Martian Successor Nadesico) is writing the scripts, and pako (Scar-red Rider XechS) and Yun Kouga (Gundam 00, Loveless, Earthian) are handling the character designs.

The official website also revealed earlier on Thursday that "Un-Go episode:0 Inga-ron" (Un-Go episode:0 Inga chapter) will not air on television, but run in Japanese theaters for two weeks only. Starting with Un-Go, Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block is expanding to 15 stations — the largest expansion of the block so far.

The Un-Go anime will premiere in October 13.
