Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan

Media Factory began streaming a promotional video for the Nobunaga The Fool anime series on Sunday. The video features the second opening theme, "Breakthrough," by musical unit JAM Project (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster GX, Super Robot Wars games, Bakuman.).

Shōji Kawamori and Satelight's Nobunaga The Fool television anime series premiered in Japan on January 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime series for North American release. Sentai Filmworks describes the story:

It was once said that time and tide will wait for no man, but that was before the legendary heroine Jeanne d'Arc had a vision of a Deliverer – a champion who could save the future of the planets connected by the Dragon Stream. Now the fate of two worlds hangs in the balance as, at the order of King Arthur and in the company of Leonardo da Vinci, Jeanne travels from the WEST. to the East in search of their long awaited savior. But will Nobunaga Oda be the kind of man they are expecting? Or will history's greatest heroes find themselves choosing not a liberator, but a destroyer? Or is Nobunaga's role that of the Fool from a deck of Tarot, the wild card whose purpose is to invoke change, at whatever cost?

The series stars Mamoru Miyano as Oda Nobunaga, Yōko Hikasa as Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, Takahiro Sakurai as Akechi Mitsuhide, Yūki Kaji as Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Nao Tōyama as Himiko, Yūichi Nakamura as Gaius Julius Caesar, Ibuki Kido and Haruka Ishida as Nell and Bianchi, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Oda Nobukatsu, Hiroki Nanami as Uesugi Kenshin, Rikiya Koyama as Takeda Shingen, Kazuya Nakai as Alexander, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Magellan, Minori Chihara as Ichihime, and Tomokazu Sugita as Leonardo da Vinci. Chihara performed the series' first opening, "FOOL THE WORLD."
