Fuji TV announced on August 8 that the David Production animation studio became its subsidiary as of August 1. David Production's anime projects will continue, and Fuji TV stated that it also hopes to expand to audiences overseas.

The studio has been producing the recent JoJo's Bizarre Adventure television anime series. That series is now adapting Part 3 of Hirohiko Araki's manga, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

Aside from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, David Production has produced the Hyperdimension Neptunia, Inu X Boku Secret Service, Ben-To, Level E, The Book of Bantorra, and Ristorante Paradiso television anime series, and the Dogs: Bullets & Carnage video anime series. The company also produced the "Baby Superman" short with Warner Bros. Animation and the "Shinonome no Sora ni" advertisement short for the Mitsui Fudosan Residential Company in 2012.

Taito Okiura and Koji Kajita, both who formerly worked at GONZO, co-founded David Production in 2007.
