Japan Expo Opening Its Gates for the Very First Time For 5 Days

4 DAYS SEEMED A LITTLE TOO SHORT FOR AN ANNIVERSARY, SO THIS YEAR THE BIGGEST FESTIVAL OF JAPANESE CULTURE AND ENTERTAINMENT IN EUROPE STARTS ON WEDNESDAY

From its beginning in 2000, Japan Expo celebrates and spreads Japanese culture and entertainment with all the fans of manga, animation, video games and all those who love Japan, prestigious guests and passionate participants. For the next impact that sounds to be exceptional, festival gets ready to welcome 260 000 visitors. Japan Expo is delighted to unveil the name of its Anime Guest of Honor: Kitarô KOSAKA. Kitarô KOSAKA has worked a lot for Studio Ghibli, and has been the right arm man for Hayao MIYAZAKI on Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away or Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. In 2013, he was in charge of the animation for The Wind Rises, the latest film by Hayao MIYAZAKI, released on January 22, 2014 in France, which has been nominated for the Oscar of Animated Feature Film!

Video games lovers will be happy to meet this year a great video game artist: Tatsuro IWAMOTO. Tatsuro IWAMOTO is the chara-designer of the famous video game series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorner and Capcom's former artistic director. He has also worked on the games Granbo, Ôkami, or Infinite Space. With more than one string to his bow, Tatsuro IWAMOTO is also Benjamin Hunter's voice (Reiji Mitsurugi in Japanese) in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

A singer, actress, and TV hostess, Shoko NAKAGAWA has many talents. Since her first single was released in 2006, her success has been growing endlessly. Her latest single Sakasama Sekai/ Once Upon a Time - KIBÔ NO UTA - reached the 5th rank of daily charts as soon as it was released and was used as the opening theme of the 3DS game Puzzle Dragon Z. Several of her singles have been used as film or anime themes, such as Kokoro no Antenna in 2009 for Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life, RAY OF LIGHT in 2010 for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or Tsuyogari in 2011 for Beelzebub. On top of being a singer, Shoko NAKAGAWA is also a TV hostess and an actress (in movies and TV shows). As a real business woman, she has her own clothing brand, mmts, which she represents and for which she collaborated with the brand BEAMS. They will meet their European fans during conferences and signing sessions as well as the journalists for interviews.
