Webtoon Characters Now Read Your Fortune with AI-Powered Tarotoon

NAVER WEBTOON announced on Wednesday it has launched Tarotoon, a new web-based service that lets users receive AI-generated fortune readings from popular WEBTOON characters.
Developed in collaboration with its content subsidiary Studio Rico and AI company Flaps, Tarotoon combines webtoon IP with artificial intelligence to create an interactive experience. Users chat with characters from select series, input their birthdate, and receive customized readings about their wealth, love life, and more.
The initial lineup features characters from four series: Meow Man, Maru Is a Puppy, Operation: True Love, and Jindol Hidi Comic. More titles are expected to be added soon.
After the fortune reading, users are directed to the original webtoon the character appears in. NAVER WEBTOON has been actively integrating AI with its IP portfolio, previously launching features like Character Chat and AI Caricature, the latter of which transforms user photos into webtoon-style illustrations.
