Isekai Quartet Anime Gets 3rd Season

Kadokawa announced on Friday that the Isekai Quartet crossover anime series is getting a third season titled Isekai Quartet 3. The show's staff also revealed a visual and 11 cast members.

The series will feature characters from Overlord, Konosuba, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Saga of Tanya the Evil, The Rising of the Shield Hero, and The Eminence in Shadow. The anime stars:
- Yūsuke Kobayashi as Subaru (Re:Zero), Warren Grantz (Saga of Tanya the Evil)
- Satoshi Hino as Ains (Overlord)
- Jun Fukushima as Kazuma (Konosuba)
- Aoi Yūki as Tanya (Saga of Tanya the Evil)
- Kaito Ishikawa as Naofumi Iwatani (The Rising of the Shield Hero)
- Seiichirō Yamashita as Cid Kagenou/Shadow (The Eminence in Shadow)
- Rie Takahashi as Emilia (Re:Zero), Megumin (Konosuba)
- Yumi Hara as Albedo (Overlord)
- Sora Amamiya as Aqua (Konosuba)
- Saori Hayami as Visha (Saga of Tanya the Evil)
- Asami Seto as Raphtalia (The Rising of the Shield Hero), Alpha (The Eminence in Shadow), and CZ2128 Delta (Overlord)
In addition to crediting the authors of the above series for the original work or original work collaboration, Kadokawa also credits The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious light novel creator Light Tuchihi for original work collaboration.
Minoru Ashina is returning to direct and write the script for the anime at Studio Puyukai. Minoru Takehara is again designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Ruka Kawada is returning to compose the music.
The anime started as a crossover series between the Re:Zero, Overlord, Konosuba, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil franchises. Isekai Quartet 2 also features characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero franchise. The first season premiered in Japan in April 2019. Crunchyroll and Funimation both streamed the first season as it aired.
Isekai Quartet 2 premiered in January 2020 and aired for 12 episodes. The Gekijо̄ban Isekai Quartet ~Another World~ film then debuted in Japan in June 2022.
