Man, some of these are wild.

Detective is Already Dead author doing a time-traveling romance drama, Apothecary Diaries author doing a chubby guy Femme Fatale revenge story, Re:Zero author doing a time loop crime drama with Kaito Ishikawa and Kaede Hondo, and Fairouz Ai as a time-looping Marie Antoinette creating an idol group to save herself from the guillotine.

Yeah, I did a double-take and had to make sure I was reading those names right. I know some of these stories started out as web novels, so maybe they’re earlier/less popular works that got turned into light novels? That femme fatale one sounds like it’s got cross-dressing thrown into the mix, so it sounds like it’s gonna be an interesting exploration of gender roles at the very least.

Some of the premise sound interesting but I'm not the biggest fan of vertical format but I'm not surprise we're starting to see anime be made for the smartphone demographic.

Format is frustrating, to say the least, but if the writing is quality and animation engaging I'll probably just deal with it — these all sound pretty fun.

I don’t partake but can understand how the vertical scrolling webtoon format works on phones but.. do people not realise you can rotate your phone? I’ve seen screen recordings of horizontal videos taken vertically with immense letter boxes and it’s like.. what’s wrong with you?
