Kind of shocked to see Daisuke Sakaguchi headlining a new anime in this day and age but this feels like Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon but without the revenge aspect and just more of a comedy.

Sounds like Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon with less angsty revenge plot. I hate using the term, but "slop" seems appropriate here. It's amazing how unoriginal some of these ideas can be.
