Tokyo International Shark Film Festival to Screen Odekake Kozame

Movie will be pre-screened as final shark movie at event

The Odekake Kozame franchise announced on June 4 that Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi (Film Little Shark's Outings: The City's Friend), the new anime film of Penguin Box's Odekake Kozame (Little Shark's Outings) manga, will have an advance pre-screening at the Tokyo International Shark Film Festival. It will be the closing movie of the event at the Ikebukuro Humax Cinema on August 3.

The manga's creator Penguin Box announced the advance pre-screening of the film on June 5. Penguin Box added that Kozame-chan will eat a lot in the movie and shared an original illustration of Kozame-chan jumping out of water holding a fork and spoon. In the background is a ferocious looking shark and what appear to be lightning bolts.

The Tokyo International Shark Film Festival will take place between July 4 to August 3 at the Ikebukuro Humax Cinema. The lineup and screening dates are:

  • Onsen Shark (July 5)
  • Jurassic Shark: Metal Machine Mako (July 11)
  • Mummy Shark (July 12)
  • Camp Blood: Clown Shark (July 12)
  • Bull Shark 3 (July 13)

  • Matsushima Tomoko Same Yugi -Game of Shark- (July 25)
  • Ouija Shark 3 (July 26, 27)
  • Marina Monster (July 26)
  • White Death (July 27)
  • Shark Boy Meets Girl (August 2)
  • Graveyard Shark (August 2)
  • Narco Sharks (August 3)
  • Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi (August 3)

Tickets are available through the Ikebukuro Humax Cinema website for advance tickets and at the theater day of. Tickets are 2,000 yen (about US$14) per movie.
