I got into anime because I was tired of western media and saw new forms of media, culture, and ideas in anime. What makes anime great for me is its relative absence of western influence. I am dismayed that, in the pursuit of money, western IP and companies are gripping tighter on Japanese companies, studios, and talents to uplift their stagnant IPs.

I don't understand, what is your problem is with anime adapting western superheroes or western stories. You do know that anime has already done this for a long time. I mean I assume you would've known of that already when you're in the fandom for a long time. |
