Dragon Ball Daima Wins Best Anime Series at 2025 Astra TV Awards

The film critics in the Hollywood Creative Alliance (formerly the Hollywood Critics Association) announced the nominees for the 2025 Astra TV Awards on Tuesday. The Dragon Ball Daima anime won Best Anime Series, and Aleks Le won Best Lead Voice-Over Performance for his role as Sung Jinwoo in the Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- anime.

Other nominees for Best Anime Series included DAN DA DAN, Fire Force Season 3, Lazarus, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-, and The Apothecary Diaries Season 2.

Stephanie Nadolny as Son Goku (Mini) in Dragon Ball Daima was also nominated for Best Lead Voice-Over Performance. Nominees for Best Supporting Voice-Over Performance included Caitlin Glass for One Piece Season 21 and Xolo Maridueña for Sakamoto Days. Jack Quaid won for his role as Brad in the Star Trek: Lower Decks animated series.

The Love, Death & Robots animated anthology series was nominated for Best Animated Series. Invincible won the award.

The Astra TV Awards included the "Best Anime Series" category last year, and the first season of Solo Leveling won in the category.

Other nominees in last year's Best Anime Series category were Blue Eye Samurai, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Ninja Kamui, Pluto, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

The 2025 Astra TV Awards took place at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
