Home security company Secom's X (formerly Twitter) account revealed on Tuesday illustrations of Japanese Major League Baseball phenomenon Shohei Ohtani, of the Los Angeles Dodgers, by manga creators Gōshō Aoyama (Detective Conan) and Takuya Mitsuda (Major baseball series) to commemorate Ohtani playing in the World Series. The post states that those who participate in a home security quiz will have a chance to win the illustrations.

Japanese news outlet Comic Natalie received comments from Aoyama and Mitsuda regarding the illustrations. Aoyama said, "When I was asked to draw an illustration of Ohtani in collaboration with Mitsuda-sensei, I thought, 'What? Are you sure, me? I'm a rom-com murder manga creator?' I thought I'd never have this opportunity again, so I put my soul into the illustration!"
Mitsuda, in turn, stated, "It's a great honor for me as a manga creator to draw the greatest baseball star, Ohtani, in collaboration with Aoyama-sensei. I'm happy I drew Major."
