Studio Representative: Maki Terashima
A number of interesting comments on the overall state of the anime industry were made at this panel. A tentative spring 2004 release date was again given for The Ghost in the Shell sequel movie "Innocence." Studio Ghibli was one of the investors in the title, but is not involved in any production aspects. I.G is also continuing its association with Gainax by working on an unidentified title. Finally, I.G is also involved in producing animated sequences for the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film "Kill Bill", set to be released in the US on 10 October 2003.
