Spirited Away Poster... Fake?

posted on by Christopher Macdonald
For the past few days a Theatrical Poster for Disney's upcoming release of Spirited Away has been circulating the net, but there is question as to whether or not the poster is legitimite

The following picture, supposedly a copy of the theatrical poster for Disney's upcoming release of Spirited Away, has been floating around the Internet for a few days.

However there are many arguements pointint to this picture being a fake, namely:
  • Most often movies are presented with the director or creator's full name, ie: "Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away";
  • The quote from James Cameroon is actually an excerpt from a comment he made about Metropolis;
  • Some question has also been aimed at the pressence of the Disney name on the poster, whereas Mononoke was released by Miramax, but it should be noted that Spirited Away is much more in tune with the Disney image.

Real Poster, authentic but preliminary "rough draft", or a fake?
