Stone Bridge to Print Tezuka Book, Miyazawa's Railroad

Stone Bridge Press announced that it will publish a book on Osamu Tezuka and reprint Kenji Miyazawa's Milky Way Railroad novel. In September, Frederik L. Schodt (Manga! Manga! The World of Japanese
Comics) will compile The Astro Boy Essays: Osamu Tezuka, Mighty Atom, and the Manga-Anime Revolution. Schodt befriended the late "God of Manga" and translated his Astro Boy manga. In October, Stone Bridge will republish Milky Way Railroad, Miyazawa's surreal journey through the heavens that inspired the Night on the Galactic Railroad anime. Miyazawa's own life inspired Kenji's Spring (Tokyopop's Spring and Chaos). Thanks, John C. Watson.
