Bo-bobo's Yoshio Sawai Launches Chagecha Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has confirmed on Monday that Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo creator Yoshio Sawai is launching a new manga called Chagecha in the next issue on September 13. The advertisement promises an "earth-shattering, hilarious action manga" about a "great delinquent." (The English word "great" is the unifying theme of Shonen Jump's advertising in this issue.) Viz Media started its second printing of the Bo-bobo manga in August in North America, and America's Cartoon Network ran the 76-episode anime adaptation between 2005 and 2007.
Kain creator Tohru Uchimizu is starting his Asklepios manga serialization in the 43rd issue. The "medieval medical drama" will center around a boy doctor. Uchimizu already drew a one-shot Asklepios manga in the spring of 2007.
The 41st issue also marked the end of Double Arts, Naoshi Komi's first serialized manga, after a half-year run.
