Imagi's Astro Boy CG Film Clips Posted

MTV's Splash Page blog has begun streaming two video clips from David Bowers and IMAGI's computer-animated film adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) manga on Monday. The film's North American distributor, Summit Entertainment, posted more videos on the YouTube website, and Canada's E1 Entertainment did the same on the Dailymotion website. AMC's SciFi Scanner blog interviewed Bowers about his film influences and the challenges of animating spiky hair, while MovieFone talked with actress Kristen Bell briefly about the film along with her other work.
The film opened in Japan two weekend ago, and it will open throughout North America this Friday. Preview screenings were held in New York City and Chicago, and the official Hollywood premiere will take place tonight at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
