Books Kinokuniya Sydney holding Free Comic Book Day events

Sydney's Books Kinokuniya store will take part in the international Free Comic Book Day event on May 7th. As well as giving selected comic titles away for free, the store has set up a Facebook event page announcing other events it will host on the day.
An artist alley of comic artists, including Australian OEL manga artists Queenie Chan (The Dreaming) and Madeleine Rosca (Hollow Fields) and representatives from the artist-oriented convention SMASH! (Sydney Anime and Manga Show), will sell their works on the day from 11:00AM to 4:00PM.
In addition, staff will be in costume during the event and visitors are encouraged to attend in cosplay. Photos of cosplayers will be uploaded to Facebook and cosplayers receiving the most 'likes' will win a $100 voucher for the store. Categories for the competition are Best Comic/Manga Character, Best Gothic Lolita, Best Undead and a category for children under 12.
