Aniplex USA also reveals Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime's main English cast

Aniplex of America's official Puella Magi Madoka Magica website began streaming an 80-second English-dubbed trailer for the science fiction magical girl series on Friday. The company also revealed the television anime's main English cast on the Crunchyroll website's "The Live Show" streaming program today.

These are the revealed English roles:

  • Cassandra Lee - Kyubey
  • Christine Marie Cabanos - Madoka Kaname
  • Cristina Vee - Homura Akemi
  • Carrie Keranen - Mami Tomoe
  • Lauren Landa - Kyōko Sakura
  • Sarah Williams - Sayaka Miki

Aniplex of America confirmed its license of the 12-episode series at Otakon in July. The company will release the first four episodes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica as a Blu-Ray/DVD/CD box set on February 14.

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica television anime series features director Akiyuki Shinbo (Bakemonogatari, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, Hidamari Sketch, Arakawa Under the Bridge), series script supervisor Gen Urobuchi (Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, Blassreiter, Fate/Zero) of Nitroplus, original character designer Ume Aoki (Hidamari Sketch), animation character designer Takahiro Kishida (Durarara!!, Serial Experiments Lain), and musical composer Yuki Kajiura (Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, .hack, Noir, Kara no Kyoukai).

The December issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine announced that the Puella Magi Madoka Magica film project will be a trilogy. Two films will be a compilation of the television series, while one film will be an all-new story.
