A Certain Magical Index film debuts at #3

The Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki (A Certain Magical Index: The Miracle of Endymion) film debuted at #3. The movie's all-new story features main characters Touma Kamijo and Index encountering a LEVEL 0 girl named Arisa just before the completion of the Academy City space elevator "Endymion." The Magicians are after Arisa, and they attack Academy City. A female leader named Shattoaura leads a unit from Academy City against the attack. Touma and Index learn from Stiyl that Arisa is key to a brewing war between the sides of Magic and Science. Box Office Mojo did not list the film on its chart for the weekend of February 23-24, but the film earned 100,757,700 yen (about US$1,087,860) on 30 screens in its opening weekend.

One Piece Film Z, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie, Documentary of AKB48 No Flower Without Rain Shōjo-tachi wa Namida no Ato ni Nani wo Miru?, and Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge all fell from Box Office Mojo's chart during the weekend of February 23-24.
