Namco Bandai Games unveiled the second promotional video for Tales of Zestiria, its newest installment in the Tales of series for the PlayStation 3 at the NicoNico Chokaigi3 event in Chiba's Makuhari Messe convention hall on Saturday.
Narrator: People are far too poweless. In addition, when times get tough, they pray for the appearance of the "Fon Master." The curtain rises on the "story of the Fon Master" in the age called "The Age of Calamity."
Slay: This is... the world!
Slay: It was in the records of Heaven: The one who pulls out the holy sword protected by the maiden of the lake becomes the Fon Master. That legend is in there, right?
Aleesha: You saved me, without saying anything and without knowing who I was. I'm grateful.
Lyra: This is youth, right? It's male friendship! Right!?
Mikurio: Are you telling me just to twiddle my fingers behind you or something!? I'm going to fight next time, too.
Edna: Forget it. I had intended to help you out from the beginning.
Slay: My dream is to find a way for the Heavenly Beings and humans to live together in harmony, like in the Age of Legend!
Aleesha: Slay, you... Could it be that you can really see Heavenly Beings...?
Lyra: I shall tell you two once again about the mission of the Fon Master. What the Fon Master is supposed to calm are the sources of "impurity" that are born from reliance on evil. "The leader of calamity."
Slay: This violence... It was planned!
Aleesha: To think I would involve the citizens I am supposed to be protecting in a fight of violence...!
Lyra: Please, wait! To become my sword means to become the vessel that contains me and to be burdened with my destiny.
Slay: If I can save humans and Heavenly Beings... I think it might be connected with the dream I've been chasing. That's why... I'll become a Fon Master! I'll offer my body to you as a vessel, and carry your destiny!
Lyra: I have waited for so long...
Mikurio: I didn't follow you to hold you back!
Mikurio: Get over yourself. Do you think that dream is only yours!?
Slay: I get it. It's OUR dream.
Lyra: After you travel the world, and learn about many things... I want you to find an answer.
Slay: My... answer?
Namco Bandai Studio's Daigo Okumura designed Aleesha, while Kousuke Fujishima designed Slay. Mutsumi Inomata is also returning to contribute character designs along with Minoru Iwamoto. The anime studio ufotable is once again contributing animation for cut scenes and the opening for the game under studio founder and producer Hikaru Kondo. Motoi Sakuraba and Go Shiina are composing the soundtrack. The official tagline for the game is "Tradition will one day become 'hope.'"
Namco Bandai Games will release the game on the PlayStation 3 worldwide.
