The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls TV Anime's 1st Animated Promo Unveiled

Adaptation of idol-raising mobile game by Namco Bandai Games premieres in January

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Bandai Namco Games' The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls mobile game began streaming the first animated promotional video for the series on Monday:

Text: New days that knock on the girls' doors

Text: Beginning broadcasts in January 2015!!

The video also hints that the broadcasting channels and dates will be announced at midnight on November 4 (effectively November 5). The THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS -ANIMATION FIRST SET- DVD and Blu-ray package will go on sale on November 5 as well. The package will contain a video digest from the Cinderella Girls concert, as well as the "Onegai! Cinderella" (Please! Cinderella) animated promotional video for the game.

The website also confirms that Ayaka Fukuhara (Rin Shibuya), Natsumi Takamori (Miku Maekawa), and Nozomi Yamamoto (Rika Jōgasaki) will appear as cast members at a Machi Asobi event on October 11 celebrating the anime adaptation. Ruriko Aoki (Riina Tada) and Sayuri Hara (Mio Honda) will also host a weekly live Niconico program for the anime.

Much of the staff from the 2011 The IDOLM@STER anime seiries will return for the Cinderella Girls anime. Noriko Takao will direct the series at A-1 Pictures, and will also provide series compostion alongside Tatsuya Takahashi. Yuusuke Matsuo (The IDOLM@STER Anim@tion Master Namassuka Special CD jacket illustration, Yama no Susume character design) will design the characters.

As of 2012, the game earns approximately 1 billion yen (about US$9.6 million) each month, and has over four million users. The game has inspired a line of goods, various manga adaptations, and the 25th through 30th CD character song singles will be released later this month. The first five character song singles released ranked in the top ten on the weekly Oricon charts.
