Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace Anime Announced With Seiji Kishi, Lerche

Fuji TV programming block noitamina announced during its "noitamina Announcement Conference 2015" that an anime inspired by late author Edogawa Ranpō's works titled Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace (Mysterious Stories of Ranpō: Game of Laplace) has been green-lit to premiere in 2015. The series is being produced for the 50th anniversary since Edogawa's passing.
Seiji Kishi (Persona 4, Devil Survivor 2) will direct the anime at Lerche (Re:␣Hamatora, Assassination Classroom) from scripts by Makoto Uezu (Yumeria, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero).
The promotional video that unveiled the video features the phrase, "The transient world is a dream. A night's dream is an illusion."
Edogawa (real name Tarō Hirai) was a Japanese author whose work includes a large amount of mystery novels, including Black Lizard , The Devil's CREST, and Dark Star. He passed away in 1965 at the age of 70.
