Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone to come with English dub

Discotek announced on Sunday that it has licensed five new titles for North American distribution: Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone (Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen Daisuke no Bohyō), Yowamushi Pedal, Iria - Zeiram the Animation, Little Mermaid (Andersen Dōwa - Ningyo Hime), and Go Nagai World (CB Chara Go Nagai World).

Discotek also announced that Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone will feature the company's first original English dub. The company will release the title on Blu-ray and DVD with the dub and English subtitles.

Originally released in June 2014, Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone is a spin-off of the 2012 TV anime Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, and features much of the TV anime's creative staff, including director, character designer, and art director Takeshi Koike. The film tells the story of how Lupin and Jigen become partners, as they undertake a heist in a fortified country, and Jigen's life is threatened by a skilled sniper.

Wataru Watanabe's Yowamushi Pedal manga inspired the 2013 anime adaptation of the same name. The sports comedy tells the story of Onoda Sakamichi, an otaku who ends up joining his high school bicycle club, and goes on to participate in competitions. Discotek licensed both the original anime, as well as it's sequel, Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road. Crunchyroll streamed the first series, and is currently streaming the second series as it airs in Japan. The Discotek release will have Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Iria - Zeiram the Animation was originally released in 1994, and Media Blasters had previously licensed and released it in 2004. Discotek will release the OVA with the Media Blasters dub, and the Japanese audio with English subtitles. The anime is a sci-fi story about the rookie bounty hunter Iria, and her brother Glen, who must stop an alien menace. It is based on, and is a prequel to the 1991 Zeiram live-action movie.

The 1975 Toei film The Little Mermaid (Ningyo Hime) is based closely on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. In the story, a mermaid falls in love with a human prince, saving his life in a storm. It was previously released by UAV Corporation on 2006. Discotek's release will have the English dub by Starmaker Entertainment, as well as Japanese audio with English subtitles.

CB Chara Go Nagai World was originally released in 1991. The 3-episode OVA is a parody of the works of Go Nagai, and features several characters from his works, such as Mazinger Z and Devilman. Discotek's release will be the first time the title is released in North America, and it will include Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Discotek mentioned that it has five more titles it has licensed and will likely reveal them in January.
