Dungeon Travelers 2 Game's Western Release to Have 4 Edited Images

PS Vita game to ship in N. America, Europe this summer

Atlus USA announced on Thursday that its upcoming North American and European release of the Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal (Dungeon Travelers 2 Ōritsu Toshokan to Mamino no Fūin) PS Vita game will have four in-game images with "minor edits" from the original Japanese release.

Atlus stated that these edits were made so that it could release the game with a Mature rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board. The announcement also noted that the changes were made with the approval of the original developers at AQUAPLUS.

Atlus did not specify which four in-game images have been edited.

In spite of the "2" in the title, Atlus describes the romance/dungeon crawling game as a standalone story:

The kingdom of Romulea is in peril. Monsters are leaking out of every nook and cranny in the land, and to make matters worse, they have started an uprising against humanity. Players take on the role of Fried, an adventurer from the Royal Library sent to stop the uprising. But early in his journey, he discovers a broken shrine along the way. This sets in motion the story of Dungeon Travelers 2, where Fried travels around the kingdom of Romulea, and through rescuing, defeating, or bumping into any of the 16 unique girls that can join his party, Fried is on a mission to save the world! Set in a first-person perspective with turn-based combat, players will encounter normal monsters as well as more powerful mutant girls, who must be sealed away to prevent the spread of the evil monster scourge.

Dungeon Travelers 2 Ōritsu Toshokan to Mamino no Fūin shipped for the PlayStation Portable in Japan March 2013 and was ported to PlayStation Vita in September 2014. This sequel game is based on ToHeart2 Dungeon Travelers, the 2011 dungeon role-playing game spinoff of the ToHeart2 romance visual novels from AQUAPLUS.

The game will include the original Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Atlus will release the game in physical and digital versions for US$39.99 in North America and Europe this summer.

The first game inspired an original video anime (OVA) series in 2012.
