Danganronpa 2 Manga From Komaeda's Point of View Ends

posted on by Karen Ressler
Series ran online for 4 years; 3rd volume ships next year

Mag Garden's Comic Online published the final chapter of Kyōsuke Suga's Super Danganronpa 2 Chō-kōkō-kyū no Kōun to Kibō to Zetsubō (Super Danganronpa 2: Super Ultimate Good Luck and Hope and Despair) manga. The third and final volume will ship in 2017.

The manga tells the story of the second Danganronpa game from Nagito Komaeda's point of view. Suga began the series on Mag Garden's website on November 10, 2012.

Kuroki Q is also drawing a manga adaptation of the second game on Kadokawa's web manga site Famitsu Comic Clear. Another spinoff manga for the second game, Karin Suzuragi's Super Danganronpa 2: Nanami Chiaki no Sayonara Zetsubō Daibōken (Chiaki Nanami's Goodbye Despair Great Adventure), ran from 2012-2014 in Mag Garden's Comic Blade magazine.

NIS America released the first and second Danganronpa games on PS Vita in North America and Europe in 2014 under the names Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. It also released the spinoff game Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (Zettai Zetsubō Shōjo Danganronpa: Another Episode, or Absolute Despair Girl Danganronpa: Another Episode).

The first game inspired several manga adaptations, and Dark Horse Comics is releasing Takashi Tsukimi's Danganronpa: The Animation manga in English.
