Hidekichi Matsumoto starts new series in April issue of Nakayoshi

The January issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine will publish the the final chapter of Hidekichi Matsumoto's shōjo manga Sabagebu! (Survival Game Club!) on Thursday. The magazine notes that Kodansha will ship the manga's final 13th volume in April. The issue also announces that Matsumoto will launch a new manga in the magazine's April issue.

The story of the original "high-school gun girl action" manga revolves around Momoka Sonokawa, a girl who transfers into a certain girls' high school. The club she ends up joining at school is the "Sabagebu!," a club that conducts survival games. "For high school girls, everyday is survival."

Matsumoto began the manga in 2011. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series and an OVA episode in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America. Sentai Filmworks released DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of the anime in September 2015.
