Bundled with 12th volume in July, after TV season 2 premieres on January 11

The official website for Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! 2 (KonoSuba – God's blessing on this wonderful world!! 2), the second anime adaptation of Natsume Akatsuki's Konosuba - God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! light novel series, announced on Monday that the 12th light novel volume will bundle an original anime Blu-ray Disc on July 24. The Blu-ray will include an original anime that will not be aired on television.

Akatsuki penned an original story for the anime Blu-ray's scenario. Novel illustrator Kurone Mishima drew an illustration for the bundle's box. The website teases that the anime Blu-ray will feature Agua (Sora Amamiya), Megumin (Rie Takahashi), Darkness (Ai Kayano), and others.

The new television season will premiere on Tokyo MX on Wednesday, January 11 at 1:05 a.m. (effectively Thursday morning). It will also air on Sun TV, TV Q Kyūshū, Gifu Broadcasting, Mie TV, Teletama, Chiba TV, tvk, and BS11.

The main cast and staff is returning for the second season, though assistant director of photography Hisashi Yonezawa is taking over as director of photography. Machico is performing the new season's opening theme song after doing the same for the first season. Similarly, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kayano are again performing the ending theme song again as their characters Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness, respectively.

Akatsuki's light novel series centers around Kazuma Satō, a hikikomori (shut-in) die-hard fan of games, anime, and manga. A traffic accident brings his disappointingly brief life to an end … or it should have, but he wakes up and sees a beautiful girl who introduces herself as a goddess. "Hey, I have some good news — would you like to go to an alternate world? You may only bring one thing you like with you."

He responds, "…So, I'll bring you." With that, he is transported to another world and his great adventure subjugating the demon king begins … but first the hard work of finding food, clothing, and shelter begins. Kazuma wants to live in peace, but the goddess raises one problem after another, and then the demon king's army has its eyes set on him.

The first television anime series premiered on January 13, and its 10th and final episode aired in March. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The television anime's first Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume shipped on March 25 with an original PC game. An original video anime on Blu-ray Disc already shipped with the limited edition of the ninth volume of the original light novels in June.
