Smartphone game app also in the works

The official Twitter account for HoneyWorks' "Confess Your Love Committee: Romance Series" films announced on Saturday that the series will get a television anime special. The account also announced that a smartphone app game based on HoneyWorks' songs is in development.

The project features Vocaloid songs by the "monster creator unit" HoneyWorks, and has thus far inspired two films. The first film, Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita: Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai (which shares a name with the band's first album), opened in Japanese theaters in April 2016. Aniplex of America streamed the film on Crunchyroll under the title I've Always Liked You.

The second film, Suki ni Naru Sono Shunkan o: Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai (I wait for the moment that you love me. Confession Executive Committee), opened in Japan in December 2016. The film shares the same title as the musical group's third and latest album, which it released in July 2015.

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (High School DxD, Blade Dance of the Elementalers) directed both films at Qualia Animation off scripts by Yoshimi Narita (HappinessCharge PreCure!, Beet the Vandel Buster). Maki Fujii (Blade Dance of the Elementalers, Pupa) served as character designer and chief animation director on both.

HoneyWorks consists of composer Gom (center in image below), composer shito (center right), and illustrator Yamako (center left). Their support members include guitarist Oji (Kaizoku-Ō, far right), illustrator Mogeratta, illustrator Rokoru (far left), video production member ziro, keyboardist cake, and drummer AtsuyuK!
