posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
SILVER LINK's original racing anime premieres on October 7

The official website for SILVER LINK's Two Car original television anime series revealed the anime's main cast on Wednesday. The cast, including the previously announced voices of Yuri and Megumi, is as follows:

Aoi Koga as Yuri Miyata, the driver of Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School's sidecar racing team, and one of the heroines of the anime. Yuri's family runs a guesthouse called Akatsuki, and she is her parents' only daughter. She is responsible, methodical, and takes herself very seriously. Her eye for detail is prized, and her driving sense is second to none. She is prone to oversleeping. She prides herself on her cooking, and she also has a sweet tooth.

Aimi Tanaka as Megumi Meguro, the sidecar passenger of Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School's sidecar racing team, and one of the heroines of the anime. Megumi's family runs an inn called Mitsuwa, and she is her parents' only daughter. She has a bright, cheerful, and boyish personality. She has excellent intuition, and her reflexes are outstanding. She hates studying, and would rather eat than cook.

Ayaka Saitō as Mutsuki Shimazu, the mechanic of Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School's sidecar racing team. She prefers to be out of sight, where she can support her team from the rear echelon. She is drenched in sweat every day when she services Yuri and Megumi's machine to ensure it is in top racing condition. She has a mature and reserved personality.

Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Chiyuki Shiohara, the driver of Mie prefecture's Suzuka Girls' Academy sidecar racing team. Raised as a well-to-do girl, she is an honors student. She recruited Misaki into the team as her partner. She is delicate and is easily hurt. While she has her willful side, she is generally a gentle and caring girl.

Haruka Tomatsu as Misaki Nagai, the sidecar passenger of Mie prefecture's Suzuka Girls' Academy sidecar racing team. Chiyuki invited her into the sidecar racing team. Unlike Chiyuki, she doesn't come from a storied family, and works part-time to support her family. She is considered the most mature out of all of her peers. While she initially looks like she is hard to approach, she shows her kind side to anyone she befriends.

Ayaka Nanase as Izumi Murata, the driver from Ibaki prefecture's Tsukuba Girls' High School's sidecar racing team. She seems to have a queen-like personality: prideful and prone to selfishness. However, she has a lot of concern for her passenger Nagisa.

Misato Fukuen as Nagisa Suzuki, the passenger from Ibaki prefecture's Tsukuba Girls' High School's sidecar racing team. She is timid and docile, especially in contrast to her childhood friend Izumi.

Aya Suzaki as Maria Shishido, from Tochigi prefecture's Motegi Girls' High School sidecar club. She is the older twin sister and has a complex about how similar she is to her sister.

Aya Suzaki as Yuria Shishido, from Tochigi prefecture's Motegi Girls' High School sidecar club. She is the younger twin sister and also has a complex about how similar they are.

Ayaka Shimizu as Kanae Kawamata, the driver from Osaka's Ikoma Girls' High School sidecar racing team. She has a bold personality and puts her all into races. She seems like someone who does not listen when others are talking, but when consulted she gives very on-point advice.

Arisa Morishima as Tamae Kuribayashi, the passenger from Osaka's Ikoma Girls' High School sidecar racing team. She is an airhead with a bright and laid-back personality. She also plays the straight man to Kanae, but in that respect gets frustrated easily.

Arisa Shida as Mao Katakura, the driver from Hyogo prefecture's Takachō Girls' Academy sidecar club. She is elegant and has a lot of female fans.

Ayahi Takagaki as Hitomi Iseki, the passanger from Hyogo prefecture's Takachō Girls' Academy sidecar club. She is a polite, sweet, and mature mood-setter.

Maya Yoshioka as Arisu Amano, the driver from Kyoto's Amagase Girls' Academy sidecar club. She has a gothic-lolita style with pigtails.

Yumiri Hanamori as Kurosu Itō, the driver from Kyoto's Amagase Girls' Academy sidecar club. She has a gothic-lolita style and a short haircut.

Sora Tokui as Ai Maita, from the Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School broadcasting club. She is normally lethargic, but changes as soon as she has a microphone in hand. She will not be parted from her microphone until her broadcast is over.

Mana Hirata as Nene Itagaki, from the Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School broadcasting club. She is a positive girl who does things at her own pace. She wants to be an announcer in the future (preferably on a food show).

Sakura Nakamura as Hibari Takada, from the Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School journalism club. She runs around with her camera and reports on her upperclassman Yuri and Megumi.

Maria Naganawa as Tsugumi Nakajima, from the Tokyo Metropolitan Miyake Girls' High School journalism club. She operates a drone to collect data on races. She is also a YouTuber.

The anime will premiere on AT-X on October 7 at 24:00 (effectively October 8 at midnight). The show will also premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Fuji on October 9.

Two Car tells the story of two girls who enter the world of competitive motorcycle sidecar racing. The anime is set on Miyake Island, a small and sparsely populated island that lies nearly 200 kilometers (about 120 miles) south of central Tokyo, but still within the boundaries of the Tokyo Metropolis. The main characters are Yuri Miyata and Megumi Meguro.

Nikoichi is credited for the original work. Masafumi Tamura (Ange Vierge) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK. Katsuhiko Takayama (Looking Up At The Half-Moon, Ga-Rei: Zero, Aldnoah.Zero) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Tiv (Masamune-kun's Revenge, Idol Incidents) drafted the original character design concepts, and Yuki Sawairi (Masamune-kun's Revenge) is adapting those designs for animation. Toshiki Kameyama (Kan Colle, March comes in like a lion) is the sound director. Ryō Takahashi (ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept., Please tell me! Galko-chan) is composing the music, and Lantis is producing the music. Sphere is performing the opening theme song "Heart to Heart." "Void_Chords feat. Aoi Koga & Aimi Tanaka" are performing the ending theme song.

Dōjin artist Eromame will launch a spinoff manga in Comic Alive starting in the magazine's November issue in September. A main manga adaptation will launch on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in October.
