Shōichi Taguchi announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday that the Futari Escape (Our Escape) manga got a special new chapter in this year's issue of Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine to celebrate the live-action series adaptation.

Taguchi launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine in July 2020, and ended the manga in December 2022. Ichijinsha shipped the fourth and final compiled book volume in February 2023.
The late-night weekly live-action series premiered on the TV Osaka and TV Aichi channels on October 4. The series also streams on Lemino Premium and TVer services in Japan.
Seven Seas publishes the manga in English and describes the comedy story:
Two young women—one an overworked manga artist, the other a jobless slacker—try to escape the realities of adulthood. Whether it's by going into debt while splurging on an epic meal or taking an impromptu trip, “Kouhai” and “Senpai” find a way to make the most of their days! Kick back and relax with this adorable comedy!
The live-action series stars Nogizaka46 idol group members Renka Iwamoto (Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective) and Nao Tomisato (live-action Oshi no Ko).
Taguchi launched the I Sold My Life for Ten Thousand Yen Per Year (Jumyō wo Kaitotte Moratta. Ichinen ni Tsuki, Ichiman'en de.) manga in August 2016 on the Shonen Jump+ app and website, and the manga series ended in October 2017. The manga is an adaptation of Sugaru Miaki's Three Days of Happiness (Mikkakan no Kōfuku) novel.
