Introducing the Cast

Rina Ikoma [Character:Naomi Nakashima]
Profile
Born December 29, 1995 in Akita Prefecture, Ikoma was selected for the first generation of Nogizaka46 in 2011. She was the central member for Nogizaka46's first five singles, and continues to be a frontgirl, appearing in magazines and variety shows. Message from Rina Ikoma
This is the first time in my life I'll be starring in a movie! I don't have much acting experience, so I'm quite nervous. I wonder sometimes if I'm the best fit for the part, but I'm going to reach into my hidden talents and give my all for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I will do my personal best, and make this project a success!

Ryosuke Ikeoka [Character:Satoshi Mochida]
Profile
Born September 3rd, 1993 in Aichi Prefecture, Ikeoka is a member of the young male actor group DBOYS. His major roles include his work in “1/11 Juuichi Bun no Ichi”, TV show “Sanmenkiji No Onna Tachi -Ai No Su-”, stage play “Tumbling vol. 4”, and Theater Troupe Caramel Box performances “Namida Wo Kazoeru”, “Tsukakouhei TRIPLE IMPACT”, “Romance 2015.” He is slated to star in “*pnish* vol. 14 “Mao JUVENILE REMIX” for the stage”, and D Stage 17th production “Yuhiden” in the fall.

Message from Ryosuke Ikeoka
I think horror is a very special genre where a single expression can change the entire outlook. I want to bring to life everything I've learned from acting in different genres onstage, in films, and on TV, and with create “Corpse Party” together with Masafumi Yamada, production staff, and my costars. I want fans of the original “Corpse Party” to like my depiction of Mochida Satoshi, so even though this is my first horror film, I will do my best!

Nozomi Maeda [Character:Ayumi Shinozaki]
Profile
Born June 16th, 1993 in Saitama Prefecture, Maeda began her modeling career in 2006 when she won a contest and then began exclusively modeling for Pichi Lemon magazine (Gakken). She holds the distinction of being the Pichi Lemon cover girl 25 times, more than any other model. In 2010, Maeda graduated from Pichi Lemon, and began working exclusively for Popteen beginning with their May 2011 issue. While modeling, she starred in historical TV drama “Ryomaden” (NHK), films “The Chasing World 4” (2012), and “Rinjo Gekijo-ban” (2013), TV show “GARO ~Yami wo Terasu Mono~” (TV Tokyo), film “ONOGAWA” (2014), TV show 10 “Kami No Tsuki” (NHK) and numerous other projects on TV and on the screen.

Message from Nozomi Maeda
I love horror. I'm so excited to come work in the horror genre again, though it's been a while! I think my character Ayumi and I are similar in that we both have jealous tendencies and are very determined. I'd like to meld our two personalities to play this role. Even though Ayumi does some terrible things, she's relatable, and you just can't bring yourself to hate her. That's the sort of character I want to portray. And, because “Corpse Party” is set in a high school, I'm really excited about wearing a school uniform again!

Introducing the Crew

Director: Masafumi Yamada
A graduate of the Visual Arts Osaka Professional Total Creative School, Yamada received the Audience Choice Award at the 26th Pia Film Festival for his feature work, “Tsuburo no Kara”. He then went on to receive critical acclaim for his artistic vision at a number of international film festivals, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Sarajevo Film Festival. Subsequently, Yamada directed the “Hontouni Atta Kowai Hanashi” horror series. In 2009, he directed “Hitori Kakurenbo Gekijo-ban”, his first commercial film, and “Hitori Kakrenbo Shin Gekijo-ban ”. “Tentsuki Roku Chome” followed in 2011, and “xGame 2” in 2012. Yamada directed “Toire no Hanako-san Shin Gekijo-ban” in 2013.

Message from Masafumi Yamada
I've directed a number of school-set horror films, but in “Corpse Party”, there are hints of young love, and with all the intermingling of personalities, the character development is quite complex! I want to stay true to the feel of the original work, while also depicting the unique brand of live-action terror, and interwoven psychologies - young people cut off from everyday life, wandering into and chased through an unfamiliar world and then fighting for their lives.

Theme Song: Asami Imai
Imai was born in Tokyo. As a college student in 1998 Imai won the grand prize at the Enix Anime Voice Actor Department audition. She debuted as a voice actress in 1999 with her work for the TV drama CD “Toki No Daichi”. In 2001, Imai was selected to serve as one of the first Big Bang Grand Prix Project (BGP) members for Miki Tomokazu's Radio Big Bang, a high honor for voice actors on the rise. April 22, 2009 saw her major debut with “Day by Day/Shining Blue Rain”. Imai held a solo live performance on December 25, 2010; she continues to perform live between the months of May (her birthday) and the end of the year. On April 18, 2012, Imai won the Famitsu 2011 Award in the Female Character Voice category. Imai has lent her voice to numerous characters including Kurisu Makise of “STEINS;GATE” and Chihaya Kisaragi of “THE IDOLM@STER”. As a musician, she has released 14 singles and five albums. Imai oversees three radio programs, and serves as the voice for the “Corpse Party” movie, console game, and anime.

Message from Asami Imai
It makes my heart race to think how the live-action film will interpret this already intense and compelling story! The characters' fates change as you play the console game, so I'll be hoping and praying that they'll somehow be able to escape through their suffering in the film version! I feel deeply honored to be a part of this project, and would love for many people to watch “Corpse Party”

Kedouin is a graduate of the Osaka University of Arts Film Department. Through his work with SCEI and Media Factory, Kedoin now serves as the developer of Team GrisGris. The creator of Corpse Party, its remakes, and spin-offs, Kedoin won the Aski Entertainment Software Contest in 1997 for his creation of the original game. Besides supervising the wide range of Corpse Party comics, novels, and OVA, he has also poured his energy into the production of original series “DOLLSFALL”, “Corpse Party CEMETERY 0”, “ Genkaisei Nuno★Magical Pantsour!” and numerous other original comics and screenplays.

Message from Makoto Kedoin
Like the slowly-blossoming bud of a small but poisonous flower watered with the labors of love, Corpse Party has finally flowered. It's like my lucky child, showered with adoration from its production staff, players, readers, and viewers. Even now, as we beginproduction, it seems content to be surrounded by the cast and crew. As a horror fan, I am eagerly anticipating the full bloom of my viciously poisonous flower. I hope you are all getting excited! This is going to be amazing!
