The Game Awards 2024 Nominees To Be Announced Nov. 18 at 9am PT

LOS ANGELES — NOV. 14, 2024 – The Game Awards, the video game industry's biggest year-end celebration, revealed it will announce the nominees for The Game Awards 2024 on Monday, November 18 at 9 am PT during a Nominations Special on The Game Awards' official YouTube and Twitch channels. Nominations for the 29 categories including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Independent Game, Best Performance and Best Adaptation will be announced during the special.
The Game Awards nominees are selected by a global jury of over 130 media publications and creator outlets from around the world. Following the nominations announcement, fans can vote for their favorite games, studios and creatives via authenticated online voting on www.thegameawards.com from November 18th to December 11th at 6 pm PT. For those interested in attending The Game Awards 10th anniversary show at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 12, 2024, tickets are available to purchase on AXS.com.
The Game Awards 2024 attendees can look forward to a night filled with world premiere announcements and trailers, live performances by The Game Awards Orchestra led by award-winning conductor, Lorne Balfe, and other surprises as the top games, creatives and studios of 2024 are honored at the live ceremony.
The Game Awards 2023 included world premiere trailers for highly anticipated games including, Exodus (Archetype Entertainment), Big Walk (House House), Marvel's Blade (Arkane Lyon/Bethesda), God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla (Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment), Monster Hunter Wilds (CAPCOM), Light No Fire (Hello Games), OD (Kojima Productions/Xbox Game Studios), Tales of Kenzera: ZAU (Surgent Studios and EA Originals), and more. With appearances from Abubakar Salim, Anthony Mackie, Bill Rosemann, Caroline Marchal, Christopher Judge, Dinga Bakaba, Ed Boon, Gustav Tilleby, Hideo Kojima, Ikumi Nakamura, Jordan Peele, Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Mercer, Melina Juergens, Rebecca Ford, Ryōzō Tsujimoto, Sean Murray, Simu Liu, Steve C. As a digital-forward event, The Game Awards has bet big on live streaming since its inception in 2014. This year's show will once again stream for free across more than 30 digital video platforms around the world, including in China and South Korea. Last year's show delivered a record-setting 118 million global livestreams, up 15% over 2022's showcase. In addition, more than 17,000 individual content creators and online influencers co-streamed the show to their audiences, helping make The Game Awards one of the largest livestream events in the world. The Game Awards will also offer Audio Descriptive and ASL versions of the livestream on You Tube.
