Plot Summary:
In the year 2199, the human race is on the verge of extinction following five years of Earth being bombarded with radioactive meteorites by an alien race known as the Gamilas. After receiving a message from the planet Iscandar of a device that can restore the Earth's atmosphere and environment, the space battleship Yamato embarks on a perilous journey to retrieve the device and save Earth before mankind ceases to exist in one year.
