Rie Kugimiya Joins Dokidoki! Precure Cast as Cure Ace

Voice actress Rie Kugimiya (Fullmetal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, Gintama) will join the cast of Dokidoki! Precure as Cure Ace on Sunday, June 30. The character will debut in episode 22, "Pinchi ni Tōjō! Arata na Senshi Cure Ace!" (Debut in a Pinch! New Warrior Cure Ace!).

The role is Kugimiya's second in the Precure franchise. She previously voiced Dark Lemonade in the Yes! Precure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibōken! film in 2007. Kugimiya is known for her tsundere characters, having previously starred as Louise in Familiar of Zero, Shana in Shakugan no Shana, Aria in Aria the Scarlet Ammo, and Nagi in Hayate the Combat Butler.

The 10th Precure television anime series premiered on ABC, TV Asahi, and other Japanese stations in February. The Eiga Dokidoki! Precure Mana Kekkon!!? Mirai ni Tsunagu Kibō no Dress (Dokidoki! Precure the Movie: Mana's Getting Married!!? The Dress of Hope Tied to the Future) film will open in theaters in Japan on October 26.
