Sakura-Con Announces New Guests

Sakura-Con announced over its mailing list the addition of three new guests for their upcoming convention. Maria Yamamoto and Yoko Ishida are the newest Japanese Guests of Honor, while Hilary Haag joins as an American Guest.

Yoko Ishida's career started in 1993 when she voiced the ending theme for Sailor Moon R. Most recently, Ms. Ishida has sung the opening themes for various shows including Pretear, and Ai Yori Aoshi. Her newest work is the Para Para Max CD, released by Pioneer Entertainment..

Maria Yamamoto is relatively new to the voice acting industry. Her debut role occurred in 1998 in Princess Rouge. Ms. Yamamoto has had roles in Magical Nyan-Nyan Taruto (Chitose); Chance Pop! Session (Nozomi); G Dangiaoh (Kaori); His and Her Circumstances (Hanano); Hand Maid May (May); Amazing Nurse Nanako (Nanako). Ms. Yamamoto has also played numerous roles in video games.

Hillary Haag has done roles in various shows including: Bubblegum Crisis 2040 (Nene); Chance Pop! Sessions (Yuki); Excel Saga (Menchi); Gasaraki (Misuzu); Noir (Chloe); Princess Nine (Ryo); RahXephon (Megumi) and Steel Angel Kurumi (Karinka).
