The original video anime inspired by Toshio Sako's Usogui manga will be bundled with the limited-edition version of the 26th compiled book volume on October 19. The anime will center on the "Abandoned Mine Terrorist" story arc.

Anri Katsu (Toaru Majutsu no Index, Danbōru Senki, Gundam UC) will star as the title character, while Hiroshi Matsumoto (SD Gundam Force, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World) will play the terrorist Ikki Sadakuni. Hideaki Nonaka (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Chrono Crusade) and Daichi Kanbara (The IDOLM@STER, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes) will also voice the characters Hikoichi Yakō and Takaomi Kaji, respectively. Kazuo Tomizawa (Silent Möbius) is directing the video anime.

The manga's story follows a brilliant gambler named Baku "Usogui" Madarame as he lays down his life as the wager for various games. Sako launched the manga in 2005.
