News Ghibli Retrospective Heads to San Francisco/Berkeley

GKids' Studio Ghibli retrospective of film screenings is coming to Northern California next month. The series of films is playing at San Francisco's Bridge Theater September 7-13 and Berkeley's California Theater September 14-26.

GKids founder Eric Beckham stated that the Ghibli retrospectives were booked "solid" into 2013 and "on track to gross $1 million by year-end." The company acquired the North American rights to Goro Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's From Up On Poppy Hill and will release the film next March after a bid for 2013's Academy Awards.
