Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time 6 Game Gets Manga in Aria Magazine

Latest game in Koei Tecmo's Neoromance series slated for March

The February issue of Kodansha's Aria magazine announced on Sunday that KOEI Tecmo's Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 (Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time 6) PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable game will get a manga adaptation in the magazine in spring 2015. The game's character designer Tohko Mizuno will draw the adaptation.

The game will take place in the Taishō period (1912-1926) in Kyoto. The game's current character roster is as follows:



Takuma Terashima as Hajime Arima (age 23)



Kenichi Suzumura as Darius (age 24)



Atsushi Abe as Kohaku (age 17)



Nobuhiko Okamoto as Shuhei Katagiri (age 26)



Shinnosuke Tachibana as Ludhane (age 15)



Eiji Takemoto as Masatora Honjo (age 29)



Michael Shitanda as Kudan Hagio (age 19)



Hiroki Yasumoto as Murasame Satoya (age 35)



Mika Takahashi as Chiyo Komano (age 17)



Jiro Saito as Seishirō Katagiri (age 53)



The unvoiced protagonist is a 16-year old high school girl, named Azusa Takatsuka by default.

The game will ship for the PS Vita and PSP on March 12. The physical release of the game will retail for 6,800 yen (about US$57), while the downloadable version will retail for 6,000 yen (about US$50). The special edition "treasure box" will retail for 12,800 yen (about US$108) and will include a character design book, "photo library," original soundtrack, drama CD, and 10 character charms.

Haruka -Beyond the Stream of Time- (Harukanaru Toki no Naka de) is the second franchise in KOEI's popular Neoromance line of games for female gamers. (The other Neoromance franchises are Angelique and La Corda D'Oro.) The games inspired multiple anime adaptations. Bandai Visual USA once licensed the the Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time – A Tale of the Eight Guardians (Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Hachiyou Shou~) 2004 television series for North America. There was also a 2006 Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Maihitoyo~ movie. Viz Media published the Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time manga in North America.
