Key visual posted for TV anime's 2nd half premiering on January 9

Bandai Visual began streaming a new promotional video on Monday for the second half of the Trickster television anime. The video previews the story of the second half, as well as Azusa Tadokoro's new opening theme song "Unmei Dilemma" (Fate Dilemma) and Gackt's new ending song "Tsumi no Keishō ~Original Sin~" (Inheritance of Sin: Original Sin). The anime's official website announced that Gackt will perform the new ending theme and posted a new key visual on Monday.

The anime's second half will premiere on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS11 on January 9. The second half will debut with the series' 13th episode, titled "Yakōjin, Ranbu" (Night Travelers, Dance). The anime's first half concluded with the 12th episode, "Enmu Kageru" ("Shade by Haze"), on December 20.

The single CD for Gackt's new song will ship in Japan on March 22. Tadakoro performed the series' first ending theme song "1HOPE SNIPER," and Gackt performed the first opening theme "Kimi Dake no Boku de Iru Kara." Todokoro also voices Nao Nakamura in the show, and Gack plays the main antagonist, the Fiend With Twenty Faces.

Masahiro Mukai (Hyperdimension Neptunia, episode director in Terror in Resonance, Blood Blockade Battlefront) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment and Shinei Animation. Erika Yoshida (Tiger & Bunny: The Comic) is supervising and writing the series' scripts. Peach-Pit (Di Gi Charat, Rozen Maiden, Shugo Chara!) is drawing the original character designs, and Shinya Yamada (key animation in Attack on Titan, Your Lie in April, Samurai Champloo) is adapting those character designs for animation. Yuuki Hayashi (Death Parade, My Hero Academia, Kiznaiver) is composing the music.

The anime premiered in Japan on October 3. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with English subtitles as it aired, and Funimation offered its SimulDub of the series starting on November 3.
