Ani-One Adds Hinako Note, RErideD Anime

Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel announced on Wednesday that it has added the Hinako Note and RErideD anime. The first two episodes of Hinako Note are already available with English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Filipino, and Japanese subtitles. The first episode of RErideD is available with English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), and Japanese subtitles.

Hinako Note premiered in April 2017, and adapts Mitsuki's manga of the same name. The manga centers on titular protagonist Hinako, who is poor at speaking, and lives in a rural part of Japan. She wants to improve her speech to be able to talk to people freely, so in high school, she transfers schools to Tokyo and plans to join a theater club. When she arrives, it turns out her boarding house is a secondhand bookstore, and a girl who loves eating and books lives there.

Takeo Takahashi (Rozen Maiden, Spice and Wolf, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers) was the chief director for the anime. Tōru Kitahata (Love, Election and Chocolate, Haganai NEXT) directed the anime at Passione. Tatsuhiko Urahata (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, GATE) supervised the series' scripts. Kazuyuki Ueda (Kinmoza! Kiniro + Mosaic, Haitai Nanafa) adapted the character designs for animation and also served as chief animation director. Yukari Hashimoto (March comes in like a lion, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) composed the music.

RErideD premiered in October 2018.

The anime's official website describes the story:

The year is 2050. A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution with the development of the "Autonomous Machine DZ" at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan find a a serious flaw in the "DZ"s and try to warn their boss but are ignored. Although aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures and go to Nathan's daughter Mage's birthday party. Next day, after spending a peaceful time, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. Being attacked by a group of out of control "DZ"s, Deriida almost gives up but he recall's Nathan's last words.

"Take care of Mage."

Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage.

Beyond the time, we reunite — this is the story of a journey for hope.

Takuya Satō (Steins;Gate, Armitage III: Poly-Matrix, Selector Infected Wixoss) directed the anime at Geek Toys, and illustrator Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei) designed the characters. Koji Watanabe (Ace Attorney, Blue Gender) adapted those character designs for animation, and Kenji Konuta (Servamp, Library War, Blood Lad) handled the series composition.
