Kita-Kon Anime & Culture Convention Announces First Guest of Honour

THUNDER BAY, ON – November 23, 2013 – Kita-Kon is proud to announce their first guest of honour, Kyle Hebert. Kita-Kon will be held August 22-24 2014 at Lakehead University, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Kyle Hebert is a veteran voice actor who has worked on a variety of anime and video games. Some of Hebert's work includes Wreck-It-Ralph, Gurren Lagann, Dragon Ball Z, Sword Art Online, Naruto, One Piece, Pokémon Origins, Tiger & Bunny, League of Legends, Street Fighter, and Tales of Symphonia.

After earning a degree from the University of North Texas in 1993, Hebert became an intern for ABC Radio Networks in Dallas, an on air talent for the Z Rock format, and then in 1996 became a DJ & character voice for Radio Disney. Hebert first began anime voice over work in 2000 for the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Z as the voice of teen/adult Gohan and the show's narrator.

Kita-Kon is an annual not-for-profit event that celebrates Japanese animation and culture. It offers a place for anime and gaming fans to meet people with similar interests and to share their passion for the anime medium. Kita-Kon 2014 will be the event's second year hosting industry guests of honour.
