Voice actor Satomi Akesaka posted a set of messages on her X (formerly Twitter) account on July 30, joking about the Wagyū beef she has yet to receive from the Japanese net television program Say You to Yoasobi (A Night Out With Voice Actors). In her first post, Akesaka spelled “Beef” using a series of cow emoji characters. Soon after, Akesaka posted, “It's summer, so can I tell you a scary story? The prize for winning last year's Say You to Yoasobi was Wagyu beef (worth about 20,000 yen [about US$130])… It still hasn't arrived…” Akesaka continued the joke by saying she would accept 20,000 grams (about 44 pounds) of Wagyū beef in place of 20,000 yen worth in the beef.

Fellow voice actor Megumi Ogata subsequently quote-reposted Akesaka's post with a similar story. Ogata states in her post she has yet to receive a year's supply of condoms following her participation in the Anisong Act Against AIDS charity event from an unspecified year. Like Akesaka, Ogata jokes, “Even if I receive the condoms…”

Following Akesaka's post, the Say You to Yoasobi X/Twitter account responded to the voice actor. In its statement, the program apologized and said, “We are working quickly to prepare the product so it can be delivered to you next week.”
